The maturity level of an organization to face Big Data / Analytics projects is an element that we must always keep in mind. A project with the best technology does not have to be successful if we do not add other elements that contribute to the project’s overall result.

In these years, some organizations like the data science coaching in Hyderabad have dedicated themselves to obtaining frameworks to measure an organization’s level of maturity. One of the ones we like the most is this one you see below, the Analytics Maturity Quotient (AMQ):

As can be seen, five factors add up and contribute to that level of maturity to face these projects in an organization:

  • Data quality: it all starts with data quality. We are so in agreement on this that our first module deals precisely with the importance of having good data quality. If an organization has a sound data storage system, a good data infrastructure, the project has started well. The “GIGO” paradigm is also often cited here. If we put insufficient data, no matter how much we have good analytical models, we will not get good results from our Big Data project.

This factor, the data quality factor, in turn, affects four others. As can be seen in its formal representation, it is the most important and representative of all of them. We must have good data.

    • Data-driven leadership: 40% of the remaining success (once we have “good data”) depends on institutional and organizational leadership that genuinely believes that data and its analysis are an excellent lever for improving decision-making within the company. In the article that opened everyone’s mouth with this Big Data (“Big Data: the management revolution”) from the Harvard Business Review, this idea of changing the decision-making paradigm of the “person who earned the most” was illustrated. We thus need leaders, CEOs, managers, line managers who “buy” this discourse and the value of data as a lever to support decision-making.
    • People with analytical skills: 30% of success will depend on having a good team. This is right now the significant handicap in Spain, without going any further. There is a lack of “Big Data professionals” in all the roles that this may require: Data Science to properly interrogate Big Data technologists with infrastructure deployment capabilities, statisticians and mathematicians, data “viewers”, and so on. We must add the importance of having a particular orientation to business or market processes in general since the data is objective per se; where value is extracted is from its interpretation, questioning, and application to different business needs. Right now, companies are solving this handicap with the training of the people in their organization.
    • Decision-making process «data-driven»: with Big Data, we will obtain «insights. » Key ideas that will allow us to improve our decision-making process. An orientation towards data analysis is the lever on which decisions will be made within the company. And the decisions are made once the orientation to the data has gotten into the processes. How will we decide to invest in marketing? Based on the efficiency of investments and the ability to convert to sales? Or based on an increase over last year’s budget? The data is there to make decisions, not to be “just another project “. 20% is this critical success factor.
    • Technological infrastructure: Finally, obviously, it is challenging to undertake a project of this caliber without technological infrastructure. For Big Data technology, it will not be. We also dedicate a good number of hours of another module to it. The technological landscape is growing. But, you see the previous elements that we must take into consideration before reaching this point.

Most of us prefer to work from home (ทำงาน ที่ บ้าน, which is the term in Thai) in half of the days instead of taking a sudden sick leave or giving certain other excuses. However, we never really imagined that we would spend almost a whole year, staying locked in our houses as a result of the outbreak of a pandemic.

While many started to love this idea of work from home in the initial days, most of us got tired and sulky because of not being able to walk out according to our wish. And as we don’t know yet when things are going to get back to normal, let us go through some ways to improve your home office.

Choose The Right Area Cautiously

If you are living with your kids and spouse or other roommates, make sure to have some privacy. Moreover, a quiet place is extremely needed for working dedicatedly.

And there are several perks of living in a condo. You can easily manage to shift to a room that will let you work peacefully away from the hustle of the other members of the house. You can also choose to close the door of your room while working as it will reduce the external noise highly.

Consider Your Needs

Depending on your profession, the needs of your office need to be sorted out accordingly. If you are working in an IT company or if you need to use a laptop or computer, it is ideal to use a small desk for placing your device on that.

Whereas if you are a graphical designer or consultant, you are going to need a much longer desk as you need an additional area for working freely. Sort out your needs first as to give your best, you do need to access all the needed resources.

Keep Aside The Electronic Gadgets Like Smartphones And Tablets At The Time Of Working

We tend to get distracted easily when we are not under someone’s constant supervision. And hence, you need to take care of your gadgets in a proper way so that you don’t end up wasting your crucial working hours doing nothing.

Keep the smartphones and other devices out of your room. Even though we tend to make certain calls while working. But make it a habit to take small breaks and make all the necessary calls at that span. In that way, your work schedule won’t get hampered in any way.

You can have huge freedom while working from home which you don’t seem to get when you are working in the office. Hence, manage your time well and make sure to work and enjoy your free time thoroughly!

The internet is not a safe place for kids and most parents already know that. To ensure kids’ online safety, parents have resorted to mobile spy apps and other parental control apps so they can keep their kids away from online dangers.

You can block inappropriate sites, unsuitable apps, and track their calls and messages with the help of monitoring apps. But how are you going to protect your kids from the dangers in the gaming world? Most parents let their kids play online games unsupervised and that is where they go wrong.

To protect your kids from the online gaming dangers, you need to know about the potential risks as well as ways to keep your kids safe from them. Let’s learn more about them in detail.

Ways to Protect Your Kids from Online Gaming Dangers

Parents can keep their kids safe from dangers in the gaming platforms by following some important tips. They are discussed as follows:

Let Games Be Age-Appropriate

Before handing over mobile devices and gaming consoles to your kids, make sure they are age-appropriate. Most gaming consoles and mobile phones come with inbuilt parental controls. You need to enable those parental controls before allowing your kids to use them.

There are many games on the Play Store that may not be age-appropriate for your kids. Those gaming apps can be for adults only. Therefore, make sure to check the content of the games and play them before letting your kids experience them.

Stay Away from Gaming Friends

You need to teach your kids to stay away from their gaming friends. Most people that play games on the gaming platforms are strangers for your kids. Hence, your kids need to stay away from them. Any participant can join the gaming platform and pretend to be someone else. Mostly sexual predators disguise in the form of kids to reach out to innocent kids on the platform.

Kids, thinking that they are talking to kids of their age, start communicating with them on instant messaging apps and develop friendships with them. These predators can influence your kids and convince them to meet in real life. Therefore, be sure to teach your kids to never talk to strangers on the gaming platforms.

Explore the Game’s Environment

You should never let your kids explore the gaming platform on their own, especially if they are young. Kids can go on exploring the gaming platform and may come across online dangers. They can interact with strangers that turn out to be sexual predators or receive threatening and harmful messages from a bully.

Therefore, it is advisable to understand the game’s environment to see whether or not it is appropriate for your kids. You also need to see what kind of players come on the platform and what sort of games are being played there. When you explore the gaming world environment and find it suitable for your kids, you can let them play without worrying about anything.

Beware of Harmful Cartoon Characters

Sometimes kids may play a particular game whose characters turn out to be disturbing and offensive. You need to check that cartoon character for yourself to understand whether it is suitable for your kid to play with.

You can also look up for the source of these cartoon characters and also read reviews about them on the internet. If these cartoon characters are harmless, age-appropriate, and can be found on genuine online stores, then you can let your kids play with them.

Talk to Your Kids About Gaming

Kids can feel comfortable around their parents and also have conversations about gaming if you also take interest in similar games. Try to explore the gaming platform with them and see what sort of games you can play with your kids there.

By being on the same gaming platform as your kid, you both can understand more about the game’s environment and see what is in there for the players. Also, make sure your kids trust you enough so they can come to you if they face a bad experience on the gaming platform.

Do Not Let Kids Share Personal Information

Most kids are naïve and they may share their personal information on the gaming platform. Make sure they do not reveal everything about them on such platforms because then predators may have access to their personal information. Ask your kids to never share their photos, videos, and personal information about where they live and which school they go to.

Do Not Download Content from Games

It is easier to persuade kids to download malware content or click on links that claim to offer exciting games and new videos. Online hackers can lure kids into opening such links or making them download malware apps so they can hack their mobile devices or their home networks.

You can spy phone of your kids by using cell phone monitoring apps to see what they have been accessing on the gaming platforms and also teach them to recognize and avoid downloading anything dangerous from the internet and the games they are playing.
